To the estranged mom scrolling at 2am.

To the estranged mom scrolling at 2am.

You’re not in the Sunday morning glow anymore. The one where you’re confident in the Lord. Sure of His promises. Certain you’ll be okay.

You’re in the midweek slump. The doom. The gloom. The midnight scroll to feel seen. To find a sliver of hope. To drown out the lies the enemy is screaming at you.

And if you’re honest? You’re starting to believe them.

This is for you.

John 14:16 — “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever.”

That Helper is the Holy Spirit.

He is with you. Right now. At 2am, mid-scroll, mid-spiral.

He isn’t shaming you. He isn’t disappointed in you. He is your HELPER.

Ask Him for help.

Jeremiah 31:3 — “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

I know. Hard to conceptualize. Let’s try anyway.

Tomorrow, wake up and walk with your head high because someone loves you with an everlasting love. Someone who won’t leave. Someone who hasn’t left.

It doesn’t take the pain away. But it gives you something to explore.

How would a woman loved with an everlasting love move through her day? How would she talk to herself? What would her inner monologue sound like?

Psalm 147:3 — “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

I get it. It’s hard to believe right now.

So say it anyway. Say it until you believe it. Say it until it stops feeling like a wish and starts feeling like truth.

He heals the brokenhearted. He binds up your wounds. He hasn’t forgotten you at 2am.

You are not alone - the Helper is here.

You are not unloved - the love is everlasting.

You are not broken beyond repair - the wounds are being bound.

All of this. At 2am. For you.

Now close the app and try to sleep.
