Hey Girl, It’s Nicole
I’m a mom of four (ages 12 to 22), wife of 17 years, Idaho girl, and a parenting coach for the moms quietly breaking inside.
The ones who raised their kids with love, faith, and everything they had-but still found themselves facing silence, distance, or estrangement.
I know the kind of heartbreak that doesn’t have a name.
The grief that comes when your child is still alive…
I’ve lived it.
And I’m still healing through it.
My motherhood journey has included stepparent adoption, special needs, trauma, mental health struggles, and the gut-wrenching ache of not knowing if your child will ever come home.
No one warned us about this part.
The part where there are no bedtime stories, no carpool lines-just long nights staring at the ceiling, wondering what went wrong.
How do you keep showing up when you’re not even sure you’re wanted?
How do you keep praying when the silence makes you question if God’s listening?
How do you forgive yourself for not being able to fix what broke?
If you’re somewhere between heartbreak and hope-because hope feels too fragile to hold-you are not alone.
I see you. God sees you. And this space was created for you.
Because parenting older kids-especially through estrangement-isn’t talked about enough. And yet it’s one of the loneliest roads a mother can walk.
I’m here to walk it with you.
With prayer-based resources, honest encouragement, and a quiet community off social media-this is where shame gets silenced, hearts begin to exhale, and hope finds its way back in.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
You just need a place to not fall apart alone.
Let this be that place.
